BCP is developing a large-scale REDD+ Project in Mozambique. This project will be implemented across 12 districts in 4 provinces in Central and Southern Mozambique, covering approximately 4 million hectares. The primary aim of the project is reducing deforestation and linking National Parks, private game farms, and ranches with communal forest areas to facilitate biodiversity adaptation to climate change through the establishment of corridors. It aims to benefit over 318,940 local community members and is preliminarily estimated to reduce GHG emissions by 31,966,125 tCO2e over a 30-year span. A project designed to deliver the same life-changing impacts to the community, and benefits to climate change and biodiversity that we have succeeded in delivering in Zambia.

BCP is recruiting for a multi-country Regional Manager, Conservation, to guide BCP into a new phase of conservation impacts and partnership building.  The primary responsibility of the Regional Manager is to support Government and community partners to build the capacity required to reduce the threats to valuable Zambian forests and biodiversity.  This role will extend out to our Mozambique and Angola planned expansions.
