As a global community we still have a long way to go on our journey to #embraceequity and climate finance is one such tool to unlock gender equality!

Here are just a few of the most impactful ways that #climatefinance is helping accelerate #genderequality and strengthening women’s rights and access to formal and informal economies through the Luangwa Community Forests Project:

🙋🏿‍♀️114, 757 women have self-identified themselves as benefiting directly from REDD+ across the 17 Chiefdoms we partner with in the LCFP

📚 17,191 women and girls who are benefiting from improved access to, or quality of education

🙅🏾‍♀️16,579 women reported an improvement in their livelihoods or income generation as a direct result of our livelihoods schemes

💧13,968 women are experiencing increased quality and/or access to safe drinking water

🩺 9,111 women for whom health services have improved

👩🏿‍🌾 5,854 women are benefiting directly from #conservationfarming

🐓 Supporting 1,335 women in poultry farming

📣 688 women feel as though they have improved knowledge and/or skills as a result of training provided

🍯 307 women are benefiting directly from sustainable honey production

🌾 BCP supports 187 Female #leadfarmers

🌳27 female #communityscouts.
