BCP Community Scouts Shine in the 2025 Kafue Wild Ranger Challenge

On 20 September 2025, our BCP Community Scouts proudly participated in the Kafue Wild Ranger Challenge, covering an incredible 21 kilometres through the breathtaking landscapes of Kafue National Park. This annual event celebrates the courage, commitment, and endurance of the men and women who protect some of Africa’s most important wildlife areas.

We are delighted to share that one of our BCP teams achieved an impressive third-place finish, while another secured an eighth-place finish. Their performance reflects the strength, resilience, and unity that define our Community Scouts, who work tirelessly every day to safeguard wildlife habitats and support the communities that depend on these natural resources.

The Ranger Challenge is more than a race. It honours the daily efforts of rangers and community scouts who defend Zambia’s wildlife corridors, helping ensure the survival of elephants, lions, wild dogs, and many other iconic species. Their work supports the coexistence of people and wildlife, protecting both ecological integrity and community wellbeing.

We extend our sincere appreciation to African Parks Network, Tusk, sponsors, and partners for organising this remarkable event and for their unwavering commitment to conservation across Africa.

At BCP, we are proud to stand with those who protect our planet. Whether on the ground, in the field, or on the trails, our teams continue to demonstrate the spirit, dedication, and purpose that drive our mission to make the conservation of wildlife habitat valuable to people.
