Strengthening Collaboration for Zambia’s Green Economy.

We were pleased to welcome the newly appointed Minister of Green Economy and Environment, Dr. Gilbert Siame, to our BCP (BioCarbon Partners) HQ on 22 September 2026 for a productive discussion on climate resilience, community development, innovation and Zambia’s wider green economy ambitions.

The conversation covered opportunities to build on the work already underway across BCP’s landscapes, including our preparations for the anticipated El Niño impacts, as well as opportunities to strengthen partnerships around research and skills development, public understanding of carbon markets, alternative energy solutions and innovative approaches to conservation, tourism and human-wildlife conflict.

We value opportunities to have these conversations about finding practical ways to work together and build on what is already happening on the ground, taking the Minister on an ‘in-office tour’ of BCP’s Livelihood initiatives, which included:
